Most moms will agree that they love spoiling their family with tasty desserts. The problem is, sometimes it is really a lot of work to make them if you do not have an electric stand mixer.
Choosing one can be a problem though, as there are so many on the market that it makes the choice very difficult. So, before I give you this tasty orange dessert recipe, let us have a look at stand mixers.
Some of the features of stand mixers you have to consider are:
* Is it strong enough for your needs?
* Will the stand mixer fit into your kitchen?
* How easy will cleaning up be?
* Is it one made by a well known and trusted company?
* What are the safety features?
These are only a few of the features you have to take into account when looking at an electric stand mixer. It is very important to make sure you have the one that is right for you. For me personally the most important is that it should be strong and that it is from a trusted company.
Not to keep you waiting any longer, here is the recipe for the Baked Orange Dessert:
Ingredients:
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 2 oranges
* 11/4 cups milk
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 2 eggs
* 3/4 cup sugar
Method:
1. Cream the butter and sugar
2. Add the flour, orange juice from the two oranges, grated rind from one of the oranges, milk and the beaten yolks of the eggs.
3. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites
4. Pour into a greased oven dish
5. Place the dish in a pan of boiling water and bake it at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about ¾ of an hour until done.
This very tasty dessert has a fluffy texture on the top and a creamy texture at the bottom. There is no need to serve this dessert with any sauce, but, of course, you can if you prefer. I think a little cream will do the trick for me! As the dessert is really tasty, more will only spoil it rather than improve the taste.
Well I think it is time to tell you about the one I love most. It is the
Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer 63220. It is a strong machine and from a trusted company, you will not believe me, but my mother had an old mixer from Hamilton beach and I am still using it today, 50 years later!
